Solar-powered chargers are all the rage right now. The LilyPad has already doubled its needed funds on Kickstarter, and it still has 13 days to go. And now, we add the Electree to the mix.
Less portable than the LilyPad, the Electree is shaped like a bonsai tree (the branches can even be rearranged for more unique looks). You can plug in a USB or AC adapter-powered device, which gives you the ability to charge just about anything.
The only downside? It contains its own battery, so unlike the LilyPad which appears to charge the iPad directly through solar energy, the Electree must first solar-charge for 36 hours before you can plug in your phone. Of course, it is still an improvement over plugging in your phone to your wall outlet.
On presale through Ulule for €269 (around $370), you can order your Electree and get it by Christmas if it reaches the required sales. Can you think of anyone in your family or group of friends who would love to have this on their window sill? Of course, it’s ok to shop for your own Christmas presents . . . .

The Chef Stand + Stylus is made for recipes, and the stylus itself lets you protect your iPad from messy hands. I like that the magnetic tip wakes up the iPad, perfect for when you have longer tasks to complete.
Lastly, the Kitchen Cabinet Mount gives you the option to suspend your iPad from any cabinet or shelf. Use the mount to watch television, cooking shows, or to keep your recipe in view.

Who doesn’t remember playing the classic Atari games? Missile Command, Pong, and Crystal Castles are all fondly nestled in our childhood reminiscences. Creator of some of the first video games, Atari has found a way to make a comeback in the digital age: the iPad. You can easily download 100 classic Atari games to your iPad through the Atari Greatest Hits app. But to make it all even better, you can play them all with the joystick.
